Research and development on fuel cells has been going on intensively for more than a decade. The rapid rise in traditional fossil fuel cost and Oorja’s break-through methanol fuel cell technology combine to make the use of Oorja’s methanol fuel cells economically viable. On the other hand most hydrogen fuel cell solutions require an extensive hydrogen infrastructure that is still years away and much better economics before they will be widely adopted.
