Why bail out all these investment firms instead of providing assistance to homeowners facing foreclosure?

0

The government did not bail out the investment firms in 1929/1930. And look what we got – 1) 10 yr depression, 2) a run on the banks, 3) stock market decline of 90%, 4) untold misery by millions of people, 5) life savings wiped out 6) rise of fascism, and 7) eventually World War II. And these are just some of the things I can think of. Do we really want to go down that road again??
