Why baptize infants?

0

Some Christians suggest you should not! We are to baptize infants, for they are part of all nations, and Jesus has commanded us to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them” (Matthew 28:19). We are to baptize infants, for they too are sinners and need forgiveness. King David confesses for us all, “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me” (Psalm 51:5 NIV). We are to baptize infants, because they can also believe when the Spirit works simple trust, which is faith in their hearts. Jesus once said referring to even the tiniest infants, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.” We are then told that Jesus picked those children up and blessed them. Through baptism Jesus still blesses little children today!
