Jesus and Joshua are the same name, only that Joshua came into English straight from Hebrew, and Jesús exists in Spanish after a long tradition of Latin-derived names, so its pronunciation has changed more because of time-passing: it went from Hebrew to Latin and from Latin to Modern Spanish.
