Why cant i see my movie downloads on windows media player?

Windows media player probably doesn’t have the codec (or language the video was saved in) to play the file. To remedy this problem, you can either scratch and sniff all over the microsoft site for codecs, or (and this is what I did) download a free program called vlc media player. VLC will play just about any media file you’ll ever encounter when it comes to music and movies. You can google it and find their website; it is a free download as well. I prefer it even to winamp because it uses less processing speed than other programs, which keeps my videos running smoothly.
