Why collect snow globes?
I love snow globes. I have a modest collection that I display at my home all year round. I love the concept of a snow globe. It reminds me of a diorama that we had to make in elementary school which is just a small scale scene in a shoebox. Well, snow globes are small scale scenes too, a world unto themselves, still and peaceful, frozen in time. They can be complex or simple. Some have music built in and some don’t. You can buy one in just about any theme to complement a different collection you have, or like me, I buy them because that IS my collection. I only buy ones that are very beautiful, or have some meaning to me. I have a few religious ones, some to commemorate events in my life, and a few that I find especially pretty, or peaceful.
