Concrete is the most widely-used traffic surface in the world. For centuries, plain gray concrete was accepted as a finished exterior surface, and interior concrete was covered with tile, linoleum, wood, carpet, and paint. Concrete overlays have existed for many decades, but the past two decades in particular have led to advancements in polymer emulsion composition and blends that create permanent coatings when mixed with the correct ratios of white cement, various silica quartz aggregates, and other components.
