Why did explorers from France, Spain, Portugal, and England come to America? ?
When the Spanish Consquistadors found so much gold, in South America, Spain got filthy rich. That’s why pirates hung around South America, because Spanish ships were loaded with gold. All the other nations wanted a piece of the money. America had tonnes of things, such as timber, food, animals for fur and meat, minerals such as gold, silver, copper and tin. Basically, America was a vast untapped land which the European nations could make millions out of.
