WWII was started neither by Hitler’s detestation of communism or anything close to that. Fascism (in theory) proposes a strong central government where the lives of the people are totally subservient to the government; communism (in theory) proposes the disolution of a central government, replacing it with a co-op styled sharing of all goods and services by all of the people. Neither fascism or communism truly work because there is simply no way to translate their true, core ideologies into a concrete practice. Hitler used a diluted form of fascism because it put all of the power, and complete control of the German people into the hands of the government which he quickly seized control of. Hitler then went on a person quest to conquer the world. Simple as that. Stalin did the same thing. Used a false promise of equality through bogus communism to force the Russian people into his fold.
