Why did God give Lucifer (Satan, the fallen angel) incredible power?
The term ‘Satan’, in regards to the fall of Satan in the future battle of Armageddon, fought on earth, where Satan is felled from heaven, is really talking about man’s evil pride on earth. It is man’s evil pride which tempts man into sin. Much of the imagery we have of Satan falling from heaven comes from the biblical description of king Nebuchadnezzer of Babylon’s fall from heaven. Also the pride of Adam and Eve and what scripture describes as their fall from the prescence of God. It was Adam and Eve’s evil pride which tempted them into sin. Also Ezekiel talks of the Egyptian pharoahs fall from heaven due to his evil human pride. Isaiah gives king Nebuchadnezzer the title ‘morning star’. This is terminology usually used for angels in power. God transfers His power from the House of Judah to king Nebuchadnezzer of Babylon. The House of Judah was unfaithful to God. They did not obey God’s comandments as God desired. The secular power given to Babylon at the fall from heaven of the House
