Why did Hitler hate the Jews so much?
Oh, Jeez, My response was really rude. I’m sorry. It’s just that I start ranting when I see the word “hate” thrown around so freely. “Hate speech,” “Hate Crimes,” “Why do you Hate America?” etc. I haven’t read much about Mr. Hitler, but from what little I’ve read, I don’t get a strong sense that he hated Jews. I get more of a sense of cold-blooded analytical thinking from what he wrote in his younger days. I guess the thing that bothers me most about “Hate” as an explanation, is that it makes Hitler seem like a monster, something not like us, something less than human. Well for one, it wasn’t only the Jews he hated. Anyone who did not fit into his definition of what the “superior race” was, he set out against. This included not only Jews, but gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally handicapped, and many others. The Jews were the group that was first lashed out against as they were used as a scapegoat for the economic struggles in Germany at the time Hitler began his rise to power. I read his autobiography “Mein Kampf” (My Fight) and after doing so, I believe it’s safe to say that Hitler was certifiably insane by the time he proceeded to carry out his “final solution.
