Why did Juan Pablo Montoya quit F1 and join Nascar?
If I had to pick a sole reason I would say that is was consideration for his family. Juan always put his family first, formula 1 requires a level of dedication and obsession higher than any other motorsport because of the amount of fitness required in addition to driving the direction of development in the new car by (in those days) testing. This level of commitment was what eventually made Schumacher retire. I think he got to the point where he decided to put his family first and pull out of F1, and the Mclaren fall out was just the straw that broke the Camel’s back.
