Why did Russia give up on communism just because of the Cold War?
Easy, the Russian people did not want communism. Communism has never worked and every attempt at it has utterly failed. Communism is a political theory that seeks to absent the human element. Communism has never worked. Communism more than Capitalism requires constant expansion for communism simple even divides the assets evenly. Example, Communism applied in the class room. If a whole class is grade based upon an average of the entire class what do you think would happen. The A students would not study very hard because even if the did they would not get A’s. The class average grade scale would fall from C to D to F’s. Communism removes the desire to do better from the general population. It also denies free will. In a communist society one can not choose not to be a communist without some form of punishment, where as in a democracy one can chose to be a communist.
