Why did samuel adams sign the declaration of independence?
Samuel Adams was the cousin of John Adams and along with john Adams was one of the official representatives at the Declaration’s signing. It should be noted that Samuel Adams was indeed a brewer, but at the time of the war he was more or less bankrupt due to failed business ventures. His cousin John became a lawyer was co-author of the Declaration and together they were two founding fathers who were committed to independence from the beginning and did not like many other founding fathers first seek reconciliation with the crown.
