Why did the great reptiles of Prehistoric Times suddenly disappear from the face of the planet?
Huge asteroid hits the area around the Gulf Of Mexico and resulting cloud spreads over whole planet blocks out sunlight kills all the plants which they feed on and all the great reptiles eventually die of starvation (if they were not already zapped by the initial impact). 99% of all life on earth is wiped out but a few smaller species – including some mammals survive.
