Why did they take Invador Zim off the air?
Pretty sure the reason it stopped was that the author (whose name I’m not sure of the spelling on so I’m not going to try) hated the show. He normally writes very dark and twisted stuff (like Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, which bears a strong resemblance to Death Note), and had to drastically water down Zim in order for Nickelodeon (who was the producer) to approve. Even with his toning it down, I still don’t see how Nick approved it or let it last more than one season, as it wasn’t right for their audience at all. It would fit well in Adult Swim’s lineup, either right at the start with Family Guy or in the last slots around 5AM Eastern.
