I believe it was called The World. WWE made the decision to close the restaurant/retail shop/nightclub down in February 2003 to according to Linda McMahon focus more on their “global efforts.” Apparently the venue wasn’t making the profit that they had hoped for and decided that their money and resources would be better off in another division of the company. Remember the original idea of the complex was to compete with WCW’s Nitro Grill that was in Las Vegas. With Triple H presumably feuding with Booker T and Randy Orton getting the title push Triple H has been lobbying for, what is the plan for Shawn Michaels when he comes back? With the DX angle being over with and no room in the title picture; doesn’t Shawn sort of get left out in the cold upon his return? First I would like to make it clear that plans change weekly in WWE.
