Why did you want Bemz to work with famous designers?
Quality and design are part of the soul of Bemz. Quality extends beyond sourcing superior cottons and linens for our fabrics to include the quality of our designs. And of course Sweden being in our hearts, progression to Scandinavian design was a natural step. That’s why I asked Katarina to work with us. She is an authority on Scandinavian design as well as extremely knowledgeable and experienced within the textile industry. Katarina designed most of the fabrics in the Bemz repertoire. Why did you decide to introduce some existing designs? Everyone talks about Scandinavian design but we realized that few could actually name a designer. When we looked into it further we found out that most of the founding designers’ works were no longer available in the market. Nobody was manufacturing them anymore. We thought that was a real shame and decided that we could use Bemz to revive them! Plus, vintage is really in right now so people are looking for ways to introduce older pieces into their h
