Why didn the Ojibwe/Chippewa go to war in 1862?

They were treated better than the Sioux. When everyone else was getting chased across the Plains, the Chippewa were allowed to stay in their own areas and were given actual, true sovereignty over their reservations. When you leave people with dignity, they’re not as quick to rush to war. The Chippewa still had their fishing and hunting rights and no one was over-populating the areas around them.
