Why do Americans think finance regulation is Socialist and not responsible governing / the reason 4 the gov ?

If finance regulation and responsible governing means nationalizing banks and firing CEOs of private corporations, it is socialist. By not allowing failed businesses to fail, you are taking taxpayer money that could be put to good use into propping up a failed business that will eventually fail anyhow. The really bad thing about socialism is that you eventually run out of motivated people to tax to death and the only way you keep power is at the end of the barrel of a gun. Good thing socialists ban civilians the means to protect themselves, otherwise those socialists would be in real trouble.
