Why do Dora use rhodium plating on all their white gold rings?

0

As pure gold is a yellow colour, any alloy to produce white gold will result in a white colour with a yellowish look. In Australia and New Zealand DORA chooses to plate the white gold with rhodium to produce an extremely bright and white finish. This plating will wear off after time at which you can choose to have the ring replated or leave it with the natural white gold look. If you prefer the natural colour of white gold, please advise us when we are producing your ring and we will not plate your ring with rhodium.
