Why do enlargements of wedding photos cost so much?
Have you ever seen a big blurry enlargement? Wedding photographers don’t want you to adorn your walls with cheap reprints. Instead, they put a lot of time and expertise into making enlargements. The wedding photographer often makes color corrections, adjusts the brightness to make the image “pop,” and crops the image to further refine and improve it prior to printing. The photographer then has to factor in the costs of either printing the images on his or her own printer, or submitting them to a lab for printing. Many wedding photographers will further enhance the image with the type of artistic touches that impressed you so much about the photographer you hired. All of these factors raise the value of the print beyond the cost of mere ink and paper.
