Why do Freemasons or master masons wear White gloves?
In the central story related to Freemasonry, a group of men were sent out to search for someone and they wore white gloves and aprons as symbols of their innocence. White gloves are always worn in Lodge meetings, except on rare occasions when the Master may excuse those present from wearing them – for example, in very hot weather. In 50 years of Freemasonry, I have only seen that happen twice.
