We can see differences in what we are familar with. People of european descent who live in a place that is predominantly “white”are able to tell the differences between white people easily, but not easily in people who are black or asian. People who are say Korean, lving in Korea get upset with people not able to tell the difference between Koreans, Chinese and Japanese (as a couple of Koreans have told me!….in the same vein, koreans who live in asian communities find it hard to tell white people apart, but if you lived in Korea for a while you would start to be able to find the differences in people more easily than you would if you did not live there. THe same thing happens with people looking at animals, if you lived in a dog community, you would be able to tell the differnces more easily. If you were a farmer of sheep, you should after a while be able to tell the differnces between many members of your herd as you get used to them. Humans are very VISUAL and look for differences
