Why do I get the error “ERROR: ld.so: object libcr_run.so.0 from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored”?

This error is almost always a symptom that BLCR’s shared libraries are not located for one of two reasons: • The libraries have been installed in a “standard” directory, but the utility ldconfig has not been run as root to update the loader cache. • The libraries have been installed in a “non-standard” directory and the directory has not been added to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. Please see, respectively, the sections “Updating ld.so.cache” and “Configuring Users’ environments” in the BLCR Admin Guide for information on resolving these installation issues.
