Why do I have to pay a Payphone Access Charge for using 1884 on SingTel and/or StarHub payphones?
The Payphone Access Charge (PAC) is a payphone surcharge for the use of “1884” number on SingTel and StarHub Payphones. For the convenience of our HomeConnect users who might want to call from SingTel payphones without having the need to insert in coins/using SingTel Phonecard, the “1884” access code will be made available. A PAC of $0.10/min and $0.06/min will however be charged for the use of the “1884” access code from any SingTel payphones and StarHub payphones respectively. The PAC, together with the overseas call charges will be deducted from the HomeConnect card value directly.
