Why do I need a licence under the WA Radiation Safety Act and what is the cost?

0

The Radiological Council issues licences to persons using radiation in WA. MRTs were generally not previously required to be licensed because, under the Radiation Safety Act, they were seen as acting under the direction and supervision of a licensed person. The licensee was previously the Radiologist or other medical specialist. The licence under the Radiation Safety Act was not supported by the AIR or the registration committee; it was imposed by the WA Radiological Council as a requirement under the Radiation Safety Act.
