The GED Testing ServiceĀ® requires that all GED test candidates prove that they are at least Age 16, that each candidate demonstrates that he or she is the one and only person under the specific name for whom the test is being administered, and that the signature on the photo ID is the same as that displayed on the registration application and on the GED demographics form. The State of New Hampshire requires that candidates prove that they physically reside in or have legal residence within the state at the time of testing. The NH photo ID provides evidence of these requirements and is required for registration and for admission to each day of GED testing. The ONLY photo ID that is acceptable is a government-issued identification such as a NH drivers license or non-driver photo ID, both of which can be obtained at most NH Motor Vehicle offices. A non-driver photo ID can be obtained at a cost of $10. A US passport may also be accepted with supporting evidence such as a bill or post-marke
