Why do I need xrays?

0

It is the dentists professional responsibility to have done a complete exam of every patient…the dental xrays are part of this examination process. This all being said, xrays help the dentist detect hidden tooth decay, gum disease, abcess and other potential problems like jaw tumors. One reason that dental xrays are so important is that many dental problems (in the initial stages) never cause any pain and can progress into larger problems without the patient ever feeling anything (until it’s too late). It is the dental xray that will often uncover these problems in the initial stages thus the treatment to fix the problem is much easier. The dentist is obligated by a professional standard to search for these problems using xray.
