This is a known Microsoft bug where if you install say Portuguese Windows 2000 with Excel 2003, you will get such errors on almost half of the Excel-based software in the market. We recommend upgrading to Windows XP. Also, if you are using Windows XP with an older Excel version (2000 or XP) there are two ways to fix this according to Microsoft: Option 1: Download and install .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 here and everything will be fixed. Option 2: Right-click on the desktop and select Properties and Themes, then on the drop-list, select Windows Classic. This is because on older versions with older computers, there is a Windows memory bug and sometimes, insufficient memory allocated to display certain items.
