Why do I sometimes have trouble using my Navy Federal Gift Card at “pay at the pump” at gas stations?
The “pay at the pump” terminals at gas stations check to see if the Navy Federal Gift Card being used has enough money left to pay for an “average purchase of gas”. If your Gift card does not have enough to pay for an “average purchase of gas” your attempt to “pay at the pump” will be declined. It is recommended that you use the Gift Card inside the gas station or store where the actual gas purchase amount can be authorized against your available balance.
