A. Industrial plants and large commercial buildings — such as malls, restaurants, grocery stores and shopping centers — require a large amount of electricity to operate. They get their electricity directly from main power lines, called primaries. These primary feeders are typically among the lines restored first because they provide power to a large geographic area.
