Why do layers appear/disappear from the Layer Menu?
Some layers are added/removed from the Layer Menu at certain scales. This feature insures that layers are displayed at scales appropriate for the source data resolution/feature density. Click on the layer name in the Layer Menu or the layer icon for viewable scale information. Q: Why can’t I identify or select a feature on the map? A: Before you can identify or select features, you must choose which layer(s) you are interested in by checking the ACTIVE box next to the layer(s) in the Layer Menu, and then clicking the APPLY button. Q: Can I download data? A: You cannot download data directly from the NH GRANIT Data Mapper at this time, but many data layers are available to download from the main GRANIT website. For layers that are available to download, a link to the data on the main GRANIT website is provided in the metadata, which is accessed by clicking on the layer name in the Layer Menu.
