Why do many pornography sites contain viruses, in fact why do ANY sites contain viruses?
People who create the viruses enjoy the thrill of creating mayhem to others, including loss of important data, as well as other malware which can steal your identity. Others also use them to create a network of ‘botnets’ which will then either start sending mass spam mail, or mass connection attempts to servers in a bid to bring the server down. You can get infected from a variety of sites, not just porn, check here: http://hosts-file.net/ and you can also look in SpyBot S&D, go to Tools > Hosts File and you will find a lot of sites that are known to infected. There are some users on Yahoo Answers that also put in links in response to a question which leads to a direct download of an infected file. So, everyone has to be alert and most links will direct you to known safe sites and not instant downloads.
