Why do men have a lower life expectancy than women?
Women are born with a better and stronger immune system than men as the fatality rate for baby girls is much smaller than the fatality rate for baby boys. In general women are also more health conscious than men and are also more likely to see a doctor when they feel unwell and there is reason to believe that it could be something serious. Men often refuse to see a doctor until it is too late. Women usually eat better than men as they are more diet conscious and in most cases they also smoke and drink a lot less than men. The proportion of overweight women is generally less than the proportion of overweight men as women are generally much more weight conscious than men.
