Since it's usually better tasting and more flavorable with some grilling or browning, meat isn't the best thing to cook in a microwave. For reheating already cooked beef, chicken, or fish, I don't think it tastes any better or worse. Overcooking happens sometimes because the cooking process isn't considered (food is still cooking for up to 5 minutes after the bell goes off) and the dish is put back for more time in error. Just so you know, microwave steamed vegetables are much healthier, because less time and water is required. This way, nutrients aren't lost or washed away. In fact, "baked" potatoes in the microwave is the absolute best way to do it - for time and for your health!  more
