Why do misters work more efficiently in low humidity areas?

By spraying more water into the air from a mister or misting system, it becomes difficult for the mist to evaporate because there is already a high level of moisture in the air. The more mist that evaporates from a mister or misting system, the cooler the surrounding air will feel. In order to evaporate the most amount of mist you need a low humidity level.
