Why do Muslims call God Allah?
Allah is simple it means The God in Arabic, that God asked us to call him by. Elah just means God so Muslims use Allah to distinguish that we are Muslim and because he asked to be called this. Also he has stated that to him belong the most beautiful names which is why you hear us saying things like the Most High, The most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, and so on and so forth.
