Why do my results get uploaded to www.otcetoptics.com 10 days after the closing date of the module?
If you have been awarded CET points on www.otcet.co.uk, after the module closing date we check against all the paper entries we have received to verify that your entry has not been submitted more than once. Your first submission is the one that counts. Posting a dupliacte submission only causes a delay. Duplicate entries are destroyed. We then log into the www.cetoptics.com website and batch upload all the GOC numbers and surname for those who have gained points. These numbers are cross-referenced with the GOC register. The process cannot be done until all entries have been marked. TIP: Use the ‘Grade Book’ feature on our website to show previous results you have gained from OT (Optometry Today/Optics Today) CET articles and print out any information you may not have noted. It is also advised to keep hard copy print-outs of any emails sent from www.otcet.co.uk in case your computer experiences problems.
