Why do my TiVoToGo transfers always halt after 2048Mb or 4096Mb?
If you your file system is FAT32 (instead of NTFS), downloads will be limited to 4096Mb. Some third-party firewall and Internet security applications also limit each file transfer to 2048Mb or 4096Mb. Some web browers do as well. Kaspersky Internet Security is an example of a security application that limits transfers, but it has a workaround. Add the following programs to Kaspersky’s trusted applications list, with the options don’t scan files, network traffic, or restrict application activity: TiVoTransfer.exe TiVoDesktop.exe TiVoServer.exe At one point, IE6 limited downloads to 2048Mb and IE7 limited downloads to 4096Mb, although I don’t know whether that is still the case.
