Why do people act as if the invention of gunpowder was a positive contribution to the world?
1 – despite what the previous posters have mentioned, dynamite is not composed or even derived from gunpowder, dynamite is nitroglycerin with a binding and stabilizing agent 2 – gunpowder was useful for mining and construction before the advent of more suitable explosives, including dynamite, and has the virtue of being easily made from natural materials
