it is easier to use physical desciptions because the physical world exists whereas the spiritual one doesn’t

Because these are ACTIONS we must take to leave the physical realm and enter the non-physical realms, so it’s a process that’s physical. It’s like the difference between transitive (action) and intransitive (non-action) verbs, (like ‘to be’). This place we’re in is not real. It’s an illusory construct. True reality is non-physical. So just like the difference between an action verb and an intransitive verb, you have to move through the physical realm using physical processes to get out of it, and only when you reach non-physical reality do you truly exist, you truly ‘are’. Or like taking a boat to cross a river and then getting out and walking when you reach the other side. Thanks for the smart question. Beats some of the crap that appears here sometimes.
