Why do people believe that Willy Lynch existed??

The dating of the speech is a hoax, and it is meant to cause dissension in the black community today. Why anyone would think it was composed in the 1700s is ridiculous. The ways to “control” slaves certainly were not by causing inner conflict in the slave work force, but through fear, intimidation and brutality. The edicts in the speech are modern concepts and it seems there’s always somebody around to start trouble in the world, like there isn’t enough already. Obviously, there was a hand who penned the speech and “Willy Lynch” is a crude and ugly pen name for a coward trying to hide their true identity. I’m not sure why people would believe the speech to be genuine. I guess you could attribute much of it to ignorance and apathy.
