Why do people either love their fast food job or hate it?

It’s a great job just starting out but most people want to move up into bigger more career oriented things as they age. There are some who love McDs enough to stay with it and move up into management. Since a lot of McD’s are franchises as long as the owners and management are great, it can be a great place to work but it can be trying if the managers aren’t so great. Fortunately McD’s runs pretty much the same from store to store and if you like it’s fast pace, high demand, and all the interaction with it’s customers, it can be a good experience. Regardless of what you think of it, all employers enjoy seeing someone with work experience and McDonald’s is a great place to start. Work hard, be honest, learn as much as you can, always have a good attitude, volunteer to take on more responsibility and rack up a long track record of accomplishments with them and it will look good on your resume weather you want to move on or even move up within McDonald’s itself. Good luck.

well they hate it because most people who do it are students or people that have been redundant people hate it because you get poor pay.
