Why do people have moles on their body?
OK, moles, also known as nevi: Most moles are the result of a harmless concentration of the pigment cells within the deeper layer of the skin — the dermis. Some of these are called congenital nevi or moles, and they are present at birth. They would be considered “birth marks.” Most moles come about out of the blue, or else they show or come to the surface from exposure to sunlight. These moles usually frequent on the areas of the skin that are most exposed to the sun.
