Why do people modify their motorcycles exhaust system to make it louder?

0

People buy aftermarket exhaust systems to get the full potential out of their engine. The pros and cons are that to increase performance you have to subject your ears to more noise. To get more flow out of your exhaust you have to open it up thus more sound. And real bikers know that anyone that says that increasing exhaust flow doesn’t increase performance doesn’t have a clue as to what’s going on in the engine. All of the bikers I know could care less wheather or not anyone hears them because they know that in SOCIETY’S mind(cars, narrow minded punks and dummies)bikes don’t exist anyway.Bikers have kids too so it’s not an attack on them.Otherwise why do they act as if they aren’t there and kill them daily or at least don’t care. They think that size rules. But they sure care when they get hit by a semi that they run underneath due to talking on their cell phones ,etc.Different worlds. There are bikers, people who ride bikes and then there’s the rest of the world.
