Why do people move FROM Mexico to California?

0

Agriculture is big in California and generally low paying, back breaking work. As for Mexico, their government is not nearly as protective and beneficial as the U.S., inflation is high and working wages are low. Plus the dollar is worth more than the peso. Generally workers come to the U.S. (legally costs a lot of money and time consuming red tape) to earn more money to send home. I have seen reports where workers who send money back to their home towns in Mexico are used to pave road,s repair bridges and other infrastructure the Mexico government has not been able to provide.
