Why do people think cancer is the worst disease they can get?

No, cancer is not necessarily the worst disease a person can have, but I think that there is such a negative association with cancer because so many people have experience with it in one form or another…there are so many kinds of cancer with varying degrees of severity. You can’t win a battle with someone over opinions like this, though, because it is such a personal thing. What is true for one person is not always true for another person.
