why do people whale?
Some people consider whaling to be wrong, that it is bad for the environment and for the whales. People find whaling morally wrong because they believe that it is wrong to take the life of anything in the world. Some people may think this for religious reasons or many other reasons but whalers dont hunt whales for fun, they hunt whales for there resources. People dont realise that many products can be made with the resources from a whale. Things like lamp oil, margarine and cooking oil. Many household products are made from whale oil like candles, soaps and cosmetics (skin products and perfumes). Things are made from the whales bone as well like corsets and umbrellas. However whale oil is not used very much in the modern age so whalers mainly profit from the meat, to many people this may seem cruel but people kill animals like pigs and cows everyday.
