Why do people who don believe in Jesus celebrate Christmas?

0

While Christmas remains a religious holiday for Christians, it has become a commercialized extravaganza as well. People celebrate for a variety of reasons, some of them very good ones but not what the actual holiday means. I’m not against these people celebrating for their own reasons but they are not celebrating Christmas, they are simply celebrating at a convenient time.

Just because you don’t believe in Jesus doesn’t mean that your family does not. I am not a believer in organized religion, but I still celebrate Christmas as a time to make wonderful food, give gifts, and be with family. It is tradition. It is why many people celebrate.
